These are the minimal software and hardware requirements for installing NeoMed.

Additional Software Requirements:

NeoMed uses additional Windows software and components in order to work correctly. These are:

• Microsoft .net Framework
  • 2.0
  • 3.5 Sp1
  • 4.0
  • 4.6.1
• Microsoft Word Viewer
• Microsoft Report Viewer 2010

**These components are installed automatically by the NeoMed Installer on each machine, if the user has administrative privileges. If thats not the case they can be installed automatically by the Network Administrator**

 Firewall and Antivirus Exceptions:

In order to work correctly NeoMed will at least need firewall exceptions for the following components:

• Microsoft SQL Server (per instance basis)
• Microsoft SQL Browser
• Microsoft SQL Management Studio
• Filezilla or Microsoft FTP Server (depending on which one is being used)
• All NeoMed executable files (the location of which can vary, depending on where the software was installed)

**Different antivirus and firewall software have multiple methods to add this exceptions, so you should consult your owners manual for the correct method. Also, it might be possible administrative privileges will be needed for this exceptions configuration, so you should consult your network administrator before installing NeoMed**

Peripheral Hardware

Device	Description	Compatibility
Scanner	A scanner can be used to digitalize any patient's documents as healthcare plan cards, referrals, laboratory results and x-rays, letters from other doctors or any document that could be copied. After scanning the documents, you can return them to the patient or dispose the original copy to save physical space in your office.	TWAIN or WIA driver
Camera	NeoMed can take photos from the patient using a web cam and attach the pictures to the medical record as digital files. The physician can also take pictures of patient's body parts to record any physical visible symptoms.	Any webcam device compatible with Windows.
