CMS EHR Certification ID - ONC CHPL Generation
Overview
NeoMed certification complies with the 2015 Edition certification criteria of the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) Health IT Certification Program. Each NeoMed version has a unique product number assigned that is listed on ONC’s Certified Health IT Product List (CHPL) at https://chpl.healthit.gov/#/search.
NeoMed relies on third-party software to meet certification criteria. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) requires the generation of an EHR Certification Identification Number to be used for reporting EHR Incentive Programs. The CMC EHR Identification Number is generated by the CHPL and represents a combination of each version of NeoMed and the relied-upon software.
Instructions for generating the CMS EHR Identification Number are in the CHPL Public User Guide available from the CHPL Resources option.
This page describes how eligible providers can obtain a CMS EHR Certification ID number by following the steps shown below that are specific to NeoMed and its relied-upon software.
